Reverend Dr. Michael Carrion | God’s Grace & Kingdom in The Bronx
Michael Carrion was born in spanish Harlem, and grew up in the The Bronx as a teen. While growing up, his parents were lost in addiction and eventually incarcerated. He found himself following his parent’s footsteps, until Jesus radically transformed his life. His life has since been one of bringing healing and hope to The Bronx. From prison reform to creating educational opportunities, from pastoring to teaching, Bishop Carrion has impacted the lives of many through the same message of Jesus that changed his own life.
Neighbor's Table Podcast aims to facilitate restorative conversation around the realities of criminal justice and mass incarceration. Our prayer is that the church in America would know how to enter into these conversations, and that movement would start with listening to our neighbors. Something powerful happens when people listen to one another. We hope that love of neighbor leads to advocacy for those that society overlooks.
We offer a full day Liminal Learning experience that walks through the history of the criminal justice system, juxtaposed to the restorative justice model of Jesus. You are welcome to attend and be a part of the conversation!
